Festival Camping in Japan: Rent Your Overnight Gear and Travel Light

Resting in a tent after a performance instead of traveling far can be the charm of a camping festival trip. If carrying both a tent and a sleeping bag is burdensome, compare the equipment rentals available on-site. The first thing to check is not the name of the festival, but whether the accommodation you book allows camping and if the relevant items are available.

Book Festival Tickets and Your Campsite Separately

The product name "Festival Set" does not imply that it includes concert tickets or camping area reservations. Campsite reservations are required separately, and you are instructed to submit a reservation and payment confirmation. Please check whether the venue allows camping, whether equipment can be received, and the times for bringing in, setting up, and taking down before making a reservation. This product does not automatically guarantee pickup at a specific venue.

Choose Sleeping Gear for Your Group and Season

The new 1-person summer configuration includes the Chronos Cabin 1, sleeping bag, foam mat, and lantern. The sleeping bag changes in the autumn. Items for other group sizes also vary by season, so please check the list and do not assume that everything, including chairs, tables, and cooking equipment, is included based solely on the photos.

Check Your Gear Before Heading to the Festival

Typically, you pick up your equipment at the campsite reception desk or administration building and return it to the reception desk by 2 PM on the return day. Exceptions will be individually notified by Hinata. Please check the reception availability times and the performance start times to ensure you have time to pick up, check your setup, and set up your equipment.

By comparing your tent, bedding, and accessories against the list before heading to the performance schedule, you can reduce the chances of returning and belatedly discovering that you are missing necessary items. Some tools may be provided as substitutes.

Prepare Lantern Batteries and Personal Items

Type 1 alkaline batteries for the lanterns must be prepared separately, and it is stated that three are required per lantern. Please check the assigned number of lanterns first. For the new 1-person package, the grand sheet placed under the tent is a separate order. For packages with other numbers of people, you must also check the separate items list for the corresponding option.

Please prepare personal clothing, food, toiletries, and items permitted at the venue separately from rental equipment. Please follow the rules regarding cooking, the use of open flames, and nighttime noise in the relevant campsite and event guidelines.

Check Available Campgrounds and Your Travel Schedule

The map below shows Hinata's registered operating locations. Not all products and seasonal options can be picked up at every location. Please check the campsites where your selected product can be picked up, and then prepare your campsite and equipment reservations.

Plan Your Return Before the Next Day’s Festival

If you plan to attend a performance the following day, please check the campsite checkout time and the 2 PM equipment return schedule. It is recommended to set aside time to pack up your tent, check the contents, and repack. Once your party size and accommodation location are determined, please check the seasonal options and pickup availability on the card above.
