An idol birthday café is a temporary fan-organized event where a café is decorated and visitors receive cup sleeves, photocards or other gifts with an eligible order. Hongdae, Yeonnam and Sinchon are major clusters.
How to find current events
- Search the artist’s Korean name with 생일 카페, 생카 or 카페 이벤트 on X and Instagram.
- Check the year, dates and address—old events often remain in search results.
- Recheck same-day gift stock and waiting notices.
- Save every address in Naver Map or KakaoMap.
Orders and gifts
A qualifying drink or set usually includes the basic gift. First-come gifts, lucky draws and extra merchandise may be separate. One order per person is common.
Hongdae route
Start near Hongik University Station Exit 7 and move toward Yeonnam or Sinchon. Visit the most popular limited gift first and confirm each café’s opening time.
